M.I.A. Trail recap (an International Museum Day activity) 31 May 2008

Two groups of about 40 participants each took part in the third annual M.I.A. Trail. This walk is conducted as part of International Museum Day 2008 celebrations.

The Pasir Panjang Guides present the MIA trail once again this year. This tour of Raffles Museum’s Public Gallery, Kent Ridge Park and Reflections at Bukit Chandu is conducted in conjunction with National Archives of Singapore and is unique as it is the only night version of the trail.

Pasir Panjang Heritage Trail (abbreviated) with RGS

Cheng Puay and I decided we’d try this scheme on the RGS Sec 4’s taking the history and biology modules in the Raffles Academy programme.
Last Saturday I took the ladies through an abbreviated version of the Pasir Panjang trail. They will be generating their own version for students and teachers subsequently.

The first walk of the year is the Battle of Pasir Panjang Commemorative Walk. This will be conducted on Sunday, 10th February 2008. We start out at 7am from the University Cultural Center in National University of Singapore.
