NUS Toddycats will be undertaking Sapling Protection Action (SPA) at the Kranji Coastal Nature Park (KCNP) to give newly-planted saplings some tender loving care. This involves removing competing vegetation (on the branches and around the stem base), topping up approved soil mixture and leaf litter, staking the trees to help them stay upright until their trunks are strong enough; and replacing worn-out or lost tree identification tags.
